PORTLAND RNSA BRANCH AGM 2017 Informal Report by retiring Cruising Secretary.
Our Branch Secretary Mr Wayne Elkin did a really professional job in arranging this years AGM at the WPNSA Spinnaker Restaurant on a very cold night on the last day in November. Our thanks go out to our members who came along some of which have stayed loyal to us even though they have long since sadly let their Yachts to other hands hoping that they will care for them as they did. We shall remember our respected Doug Arnold and Vera.
Tremendous thanks to Peter Allam and staff of WPNSA who provided as always a great professional service and especially to Karen who provided a fresh, ironed table cloth for the gift table. We are always grateful to the girls in the office and Yard staff who help us with providing us with sterling service. The Buffet was excellent and the Tuna sandwiches were delicious. The bar staff kept the liquid flowing. Thank you.
We hope we didn't leave the Restaurant too untidy when we departed.
This report is purely to record the highlights of the evening and the minutes will be published separately by our Branch Secretary.
We all started to drift in around 18:30 and mingled to catch up on the years events. Brendan started with some photography and later we tucked into the Buffet before the main event began
Wayne called the Meeting to order at 19:20.

Departure Brendan MooreThe video here was recorded on Mobile phone by Jason Hook. I then spent about two hours trying to get to grips with a new video editor. It is very complex and seems illogical spock but managed to piece the bits together. Thank you Jason. Also a special thanks to Peter Stone who saw I might be struggling to keep it together and offered to help. I said thank you but not wishing to offend one of my assistants I had to politely turn down his offer. Peter you are a good Branch Member. Thank you
Attached is full my address for those of you who could not make the evening.
