RNSA PORTLAND BRANCH COCKTAIL PARTY 8 MAY 2015
Under grey skies RNSA members and guests attended a brilliantly organised Cocktail Party. Our thanks go out to our guests from the other organisations of Weymouth and Portland for helping us continue to make this one of the highlights of our yearly calendar.
Special thanks to Jacquie Shears for all her hard work in ensuring that everything was to the highest standard. This was achieved, as always, by the assistance of WPNSA staff and caterers. Thank you to Peter Allam and staff.
We were extremely pleased to have with us our Weymouth and Portland Mayor Kate Wheller along with
RNSA Chairman Richard Farrington to show him the facilities we enjoy at WPNSA to assist him in his quest for Vision 2020.
We also give special note and thanks to the Sea Cadets for performing the Sunset Ceremony and despite an equipment malfunction the two young Cadets attending the Flag maintained the professionalism expected of the Senior Service. Bravo Zulu.
A special mention must be given to our Branch Captain Peter Goss who normally is in a role of handing out thanks but we all recognise he has the responsibility to head up these events to ensure they are to the levels expected. So our thanks also go out to him.
