PORTLAND RNSA BRANCH COCKTAIL PARTY 2019 24 May 2019

RNSA members and guests attended a later than normal in the year Cocktail Party at the WPNSA. Our thanks go out to our guests from the other organisations of Weymouth and Portland for helping us continue to make this an important part our yearly calendar.
Tremendous thanks to Kaz and Steve Pointon leading Team Cocktail in ensuring that everything was to the highest standard. This was achieved, as always, by the assistance of WPNSA staff and caterers. Thank you to Peter Allam and staff who provided a great professional service.
We also give special note and thanks to the Portland Sea Cadet Branch led by CPO David Louch for performing the Sunset Ceremony assisted by one of the Cadets. Unfortunately due to other commitments the musicians were not available. The new Flag Staff operated with out malfunction.
Our Branch Captain Peter Goss regrettably was unable to attend but Steve Pointon and Kaz held the ball superbly.
After the party many guests sat down to a splendid meal from a multi choice menu and the tables were prepared beautifully with place settings and menu reminders and a table plan by the door.
This report has been compiled by B E Moore to assist Kaz and Steve. They may add something later. Regards Brendan Portland RNSA BSA
